In our previous articles, when we defined a play group, we stated that it was composed of children of the same age and an instructor and that it was an environment in which mothers could share their knowledge, experience and thoughts while playing with their friends under the supervision of their instructors.
The first aim of the play groups is to give children the opportunity to play with their peers in healthy and safe conditions and to increase their socialization skills. However, the game groups should process the socialization and learning process together. The playgroup should have a carefully prepared training program, as it should be in other preschool age groups. The main objectives of this program are to gain new skills and knowledge to the child, to teach new concepts, to enable them to use their thinking skills and to support their motor development.
In this article, we will talk about the physical conditions, the materials to be found, the goods-space organization in order for a game group to comply with the above definition and reach its goals. First of all, we will try to give you information that I think will help you create your expectations visually. In the play class, toys and materials should be kept regularly on shelves within easy reach and reach of children. Instructional posters and graphics on the walls should be at eye level of children. Pictures and posters should be posted for children, not adults.
Children in the playgroup do not like sharing and waiting in line because of their level of development. For this reason, two or more of the most preferred toys (phone, steering wheel, red car, bag, animals, pink stroller and many more) should be available bulundurul Especially if you are driving, you have to play on the ground and you have to play games open space. Your child should be able to easily build blocks, roads, people and cars and build a huge zoo.
Game groups are your child's choice and play according to their own preferences. Teachers can make referrals but do not intervene directly in games. They help a child who has difficulty setting up games, but they try to get them to play with other children rather than alone or with the teacher.
The corners of the game group can be listed as follows.
Music Corner: Children love sounds, music and songs. Every new sound they create with sound and music toys is a source of joy for them. This voice is his success. Songs and music reinforce his learning skill.
Read-book corner: To be able to listen to a story without sitting or distracting; Here is one of the main goals of the game group. There should be plenty of picture books, cushions and a small coffee table in the corner and the books should be kept in a bookcase where the child can easily reach and buy. The reading corner is also where our teacher sings and teaches us finger games.
Block corner: There should be plenty of blocks of different sizes and materials, cars, small human figures, toy houses, animals, steering wheels and a large playground should complete the corner.
Dream-drama corner: Children learn by imitating adults in their games. Kitchen toys, dolls, shopping toys, doctor, repair etc. Toys, costumes, clothes and lots of accessories are the indispensable materials of this corner.
Table games: A wide variety of puzzles, games that improve hand and eye coordination, colored pegs, chains, beads, concept games, toys, nicknames, shape-color studies should be available.
SAnat and woundmerchant activities:Children are proud of their paintings with colors, paints and their new experience. Materials such as finger paint, water color should be abundant and varied. Print works, collage works and more will reveal their skills and creativity in them. Play with plasticine is especially important during this period. Don't forget the dry pencil, pastel, scissors-cutting works that will strengthen your fingers….
Water-sand games-sensory materials:
Water and sand games will introduce children to concepts such as empty, full, sinking and floating, and will give them the opportunity to conduct their first science experiments. Children learn by tapping. The game group environment should contain as much sensory material as possible.
Hopping-jumping time: Balls of all kinds and sizes, push-pull toys, balance games, climbing ladders support children's great muscle development.
Shared breakfast time: Sitting together at the table, eating something and a little chat. It's like we're having a little party every time. The success of our children at the table and without help, getting up from the table and cleaning up.

Each game group should include all of the days. The children spend their time in every corner, up to their interests and times. Play groups are the first time children feel social and self-sufficient. Sharing toys and waiting in line are huge steps in the group. The environment should be organized to support all these objectives. Hygiene must be paid attention to within and outside the game group environment. Particular attention should be paid to the cleanliness of the toys, the durability of the toys inside, and the change of toilet-cloth, hand washing places, a proper toilet and the cleaning of the toilet if training has been completed.
